Improving the success of direct seeding through the application of seed briquettes, aquasorb, and sowing time: case studies on <i>Ceiba pentandra, Enterolobium cyclocarpum</i>, and <i>Calophyllum inophyllum</i>

Direct seeding, a planting technique that has long been applied in restoring degraded land and forest, is often doubted to be successful due many constrains, both biotic abiotic. This study aims increase the success of direct seeding through application seed briquettes, aquasorb treatment determining right sowing time for three forest tree species, i.e. Ceiba pentandra, Enterolobium cyclocarpum, Calophyllum inophyllum. used randomized block design with two factorials (seed treatments dates) each species. Seeds were sown blocks field according treatments. Each consisted 10 plots one 5 seeds or briquettes plot. The results showed when rain starts stabilize (ST-2) supported by use addition was able seedling survival, height root collar diameter all tested In general, provided better survival growth compared using untreated seeds. C. inophyllum gave higher other species indicating this very prospective applications its high adaptability.
